• Long hair and loose clothing can be hazardous
when the work piece is rotating. Wear personal
protective gear such as a hair net and tight fitting
work clothes.
• Saw dust and wood chips can be hazardous. Wear
personal protective gear such as safety goggles
and a dust mask.
• The use of incorrect or damaged mains cables can
lead to injuries caused by electricity.
• Even when all safety measures are taken, some
remaining hazards which are not yet evident may
still be present.
• Remaining hazards can be minimized by following
the instructions in „Safety Precautions", „Proper
Use" and in the entire operating manual.

8. Attachment and operation

Before starting the equipment
Make sure the machine stands securely, i.e. bolt it to
a workbench or solid base. There are two holes for
this purpose in the machine foot.
• All covers and safety devices have to be properly
fitted before the machine is switched on.
• When working with wood that has been processed
before, watch out for foreign bodies such as nails
or screws etc.
• Before you connect the machine to the power sup-
ply, make sure the data on the rating plate is the
same as that for your mains.
Assembly
Prepare the workplace where you intend to place the
electrical power tool. Provide enough space to en-
sure safe and trouble­free operation. The power tool
is designed for working in enclosed rooms and has to
be installed on level and firm ground.
m Important! Pull out the power plug before carrying
out any maintenance, resetting or assembly work on
the device!
ASSEMBLY the motor unit and machine bed (Fig. 3)

Place the motor unit (1) and the machine bed (11)
on an even firmly ground.

Mount the motor unit (1) and the machine bed (11)
on the three connecting points by using 3 screws
(23), 6 washers (24), 3 spring washers (25) and
3 nuts (26).
ASSEMBLY the tool support (Fig. 3)

Fix the tool support holder (6) at the motor unit (1)
with one bolt (19), one bracket (16), one washer
(18), the clamping lever for tool support (14) and
one wing nut (13).

Push the tool support (4) into the connection of
the tool support holder (6) and fix it with the lock-
ing screw (5).
ASSEMBLY the tailstock (Fig. 3)

Fix the tailstock (9) at the machine bed (11) with
one bolt (19), one bracket (16), one washer (18),
the clamping lever for tailstock (12) and one wing
nut (13).

Screw the spindle of the centering (7) into the tail-
stock (9).

Push the handwheel (10) onto the spindle of the
centering (7) and fix it with the allen key (Fig.1/
Pos.22).
