5.9 Current Measurement

When connecting the measurement instrument, en-
sure that the measurement circuit is not live.
The measurement instrument may only be used in
fused circuits up to 25A and up to a nominal voltage of
1000 V.
The nominal cross section of the connection line must
be observed and a safe connection (e.g. via alligator
clamps) must be ensured.
After measurement instrument fuse tripping and prior
to fuse replacement, ensure that the cause for the fuse
tripping has been eliminated.
Multimeters UNITEST Hexagon 710 and Hexagon 720 can
separately indicate DC and AC current shares.
When having selected the measurement function ~, only
AC current shares are indicated as true RMS value. When
having selected the measurement function = only DC cur-
rent shares are displayed. When selecting measurement
function = + ~, both DC and AC currents are displayed.
