maintenance and disassembly.
Mounting, installation, commissioning, operation, maintenance and disassembly of
any devices may only be carried out by trained, qualified personnel. The instruction

Intended Use
The Sensor Interface FD0-BI-Ex12.**** is a field devices for connection to an intrinsi-
cally safe PROFIBUS PA fieldbus.
The Sensor Interface FD0-BI-Ex12.**** is used to connect eight conventional intrinsi-
cally safe binary control circuits and four intrinsically safe NAMUR vibrating forks. In-
stead of vibrating forks, conventional control circuits can be used.
FD0-BI-Ex12.**** is used in type of protection II 2G (1) Ex ia [ia Ga] IIC T4 Gb.
