Installation and Commissioning

4.1. Transport

Always disconnect the power supply before moving the printer!
The BigRep ONE can be moved using the four transport rollers in the machine
base (G) at the bottom of the frame. The rollers must be locked immediately after
transport to avoid any accidental movement of the device. On tilted floors the
device must be additionally secured to prevent accidental movement.
To unlock the transport rollers, turn the idler wheel counterclockwise (see Fig.
4-3).
Transport by forklift or crane is not permissible!
The uninterruptable power supply (UPS) fuse must be removed prior to any trans-
port (see Fig. 4-2).

4.2. Operating Environment / Requirements

Make sure the ground is leveled and has
sufficient load-bearing capacity!
Make sure there is enough free space
between the machine and the ceiling (at
least 1m to the device)!
Make sure that there is a free zone of at
least 1m around the device (Fig. 4-1).
Take particular care to ensure that there
is enough free space behind the control
cabinet (N) at the back of the printer.
Once printing has started, the device may not be made accessible to any unau-
thorized persons!
To allow for a satisfactory printing process, make sure to:
Avoid high humidity
Keep the temperature in the operating environment between +15 °C and
+40 °C
Avoid strong drafts during the printing process
Avoid direct exposure of the device to sunlight
Not operate the device on surfaces particularly sensitive to vibrations
Avoid serious indoor air pollution with dust (e.g. sanding dust)
