► Do not subject the product to mechanical vibrations or impacts.
► Check the product for visible damage before each use.

Independent user changes or modifications made to the product
Limited function due to product malfunction or damage.
► Manipulations to the product other than the tasks described in these instructions for use are
not permitted.
► The product and any damaged components may only be opened and repaired by authorised,
qualified Ottobock personnel.
NOTICE
Use of the product with a damaged wireless adapter cable
Malfunction due to incorrect or interrupted data transfer.
► Avoid bending or squeezing the wireless adapter cable.
► Replace defective or damaged wireless adapter cables immediately.
► Do not make any unauthorised changes to the wireless adapter cable.
NOTICE
Operating the product outside of the permissible temperature range
Limited function due to product malfunction or damage.
► Avoid operation in areas outside the permissible temperature range (see Page 19).
NOTICE
Operating near sources of strong magnetic or electrical interference (e.g. theft preven­
tion systems, metal detectors)
Limited function due to product malfunction.
► Avoid operating the product in the vicinity of sources of strong magnetic and electrical inter­
ference (e.g. high-voltage lines, transmitters, transformer stations, computer tomographs,
magnetic resonance tomographs, etc.).
► Use the product only in orthopaedic workshops, or during in-patient stays in rehabilitation
facilities.
NOTICE
Insufficient distance to HF communication devices (e.g. mobile phones, Bluetooth
devices, WiFi devices)
Product malfunction due to interference during data transfer.
► Therefore, keeping the following minimum distances to these HF communication devices is
recommended:
• Mobile phone GSM 850 / GSM 900: 0.99 m
• Mobile phone GSM 1800 / GSM 1900 / UMTS: 0.7 m
• DECT cordless phones incl. base station: 0.35 m
• WiFi (routers, access points ...): 0.22 m
• Bluetooth devices (third-party products not approved by Ottobock): 0.22 m
