Überdruckventil auf Stellung
»MAN« und an Skale auf 30 mbar
einstellen.
Frischgasflow am Narkosegerät
auf 4 L/min einstellen.
Drehknöpfe einstellen:
Frequenz 6/min
PEEP 0
Flow auf grünen Punkt einstellen
I:E 1:1
V ca. 400 mL

Einen zusätzlichen Atembeutel,
z.B. 2,3 L-Beutel, als Prüflunge
auf das Y-Stück stecken.
Während der Inspiration wird der
Faltenbalg gleichmäßig ausge-
drückt – bis zum oberen An-
schlag, im Kreissystem 9 baut
sich ein Atemwegsdruck auf.
Das Atemvolumen V – gemessen
T
am Atemwegs-Monitor – soll mit
dem eingestellten Hubvolumen
übereinstimmen.
Während der Exspiration fällt der
Faltenbalg gleichmäßig auf den
unteren Anschlag. Der Atem-
wegsdruck im Kreissystem 9 geht
auf ca. 1 mbar zurück.
Wenn sich der Faltenbalg ungleich-
mäßig und torkelnd füllt und ent-
leert:
Anschluß des Faltenbalgs am Patien-
tensystem prüfen. Hals des Falten-
balgs vollständig und gleichmäßig auf
die Tülle des Patientensystems schie-
ben.

Pressure limiting valve to »MAN«
setting and set scale to 30 mbar.
Set fresh gas flow on anaesthetic
machine to 4 L/min.
Set rotary knobs:
Frequency 6/min
PEEP 0
Flow to green dot
I:E 1:1
V to about 400 mL

Attach an additional breathing
bag, such as a 2.3 L bag to
Y-piece as test lung.
During inspiration the bellows
should deflate evenly – up to the
upper stop, airway pressure
should build up in the Circle
System 9.
The tidal volume V – measured
T
on the airway monitor should
match the stroke volume set.
During expiration, the bellows
should fall evenly to the lower
stop. The airway pressure in the
Circle System 9 should fall to
about 1 mbar.
If the bellows fill and empty
unevenly and jerkily:
check bellows connection on patient
system. Push neck of bellows
completely and evenly onto the
nozzle on the patient system.
