3.3 Operation using AC mains adapter
The Baroscope can be connected to the 230 V - 50/60 Hz mains
via the AC mains adapter (not supplied, Vetus art. code
METEO220). The adapter delivers 12 V/DC, meaning that this
operating mode corresponds to that described under 3.2 above.
N.B.: It is advisable to fit the unit with internal batteries for this
operating mode as well, so as to bridge over power failures in the
mains supply.
When the unit is running on the main power supply, no current
flows out of the internal batteries.

4 Installing the unit

4.1 Stationary unit
The Baroscope may be used as a stationary unit in all 'dry-land'
situations.

4.2 Wall mounting

The Baroscope is designed so that it may be specially mounted
inside waterborne craft.
The ideal location for the Baroscope is in the navigation area,
either wall or desk mounted.
The two vertical slots on the rear of the unit are for fitting the wall-
fixing hooks into.
