Application instructions

KD/STZ/KDB force transducers:
Transducers of the KD and STZ type series are used to check material testing
machines and are designed to comply with the requirements of ISO 376. They
are compressive force (KD) and tensile force (STZ) transducers, with a maxi­
mum overall height that makes them suitable for checking material testing ma­
chines in accordance with ISO 7500‐1.
Transducers of the KDB type are suitable for performing the strain cylinder
test for compression testing machines for concrete in accordance with DIN
51302‐2 and EN 12390‐4. It is possible to check centric force application and
the free movement of the upper compression plate, as well as the locking of
its spherical bearing.
Important
Before calibrating with force transducers, it is essential that standards DIN
51302‐2, EN 12390‐4 and ISO 7500‐1 are read. The standards describe the
precise procedure for calibration.
