der EinlaBoffnung durch den Schieber —
weiter transportiert und komprimiert. Bei
(15) wird Ol in den Schopfraum einge-
spritzt. Dieses dient zur Schmierung und
Dichtung zwischen Schopfraumwand und
Schieberkopf einerseits sowie zur
Schmierung und Dichtung der Schieber
(16) im Rotor (2) andererseits.
Das im Schopfraum komprimierte Gas
wird am Auspuffventil (12) in die At-
mosphare ausgestoBen. Das mit dem
komprimierten Gas mitgerissene Ol wird
im Olfilter (11) abgeschieden. Dort wird
auch gleichzeitig das Ol gefiltert und von
mechanischen Verunreinigungen befreit.
Das Einlassen von Nebenluft — genannt
Gasballast — verhindert eine Kondensa-
tion von Dampfen im Schopfraum der
Pumpe. Zu Beginn der Kompression wird
die genau dosierte Gasballastmenge bei
(14) eingelassen, dadurch ist die in den
technischen Daten angegebene Wasser-
dampfvertraglichkeit gewahrleistet. Das
Gasballastventil wird durch Drehen der
VerschluBkappe (8) geoffnet und ge-
schlossen.
Das sonst ublicherweise beim Erreichen
des Enddrucks auftretende Klopfen
(Olschlag) der Pumpe verhindert eine
ebenfalls bei (14) in den Schopfraum der
Pumpe eingelassene sehr geringe Ne-
benluftmenge, die gerauschdampfend
wirkt.
Kommt die Pumpe zum Stillstand, so
offnet ein Fliehkraftschalter auf der Pum-

The gas compressed in the pump cham-
ber is expelled to the atmosphere through
the exhaust valve (12). The oil entrained
with the compressed gas is trapped in the
oil filter (11). At the same time the oil is
filtered and freed from mechanical conta-
mination. By admitting secondary air — so
called "gas ballast" — condensation of
vapours in the pump chamber is avoided.
At the beginning of compression, the
exactly dosaged gas-ballast amount is
admitted at (14). Hereby the water vapour
tolerance mentioned in the technical data
is ensured. The gas ballast valve is open-
ed and closed by turning the sealing cap
(8).
The slap noise (oil slap) of the pump —
usually occurring when attaining the ulti-
mate pressure — is prevented by admit-
ting also at (14) a very small amount of
secondary air into the pump chamber.
If the pump stops operation, the centrifu-
gal switch on the pump shaft opens an air
tube which admits atmospheric air below
the piston of the intake-port valve. The
valve disc is hereby pressed against the
valve seat. The line to the vacuum system
is closed and the pump vented.
The built-on oil sight glass allows easy
control of the oil level within the pump.

est captee par le filtre d'huile (11). A I'aide
de ce filtre, l'huile est filtree en meme
temps et liberee des encrassements me-
caniques. En faisant entrer de I'air addi-
tionnel, I'ainsi dit lest d'air, on evite la
condensation de vapeurs dans la cham-
bre de la pompe. Au debut de la compres-
sion, une quantite de lest d'air exacte-
ment dosee est admise a (14) ce qui
assure la haute pression de vapeur d'eau
maximale admissible, specifiee au chap,
des ,,Caracteristiques techniques". L'ou-
verture et la fermeture du robinet de lest
d'air s'effectuent en tournant le capuchon
de fermeture (8).
Afin de prevenir le genant claquement de
la pompe qui intervient habituellement
lorsqu'elle atteint son vide limite, on fait
entrer, egalement a (14), une tres faible
quantite d'air additionnel dans la chambre
de la pompe qui assure un fonctionne-
mentsilencieux.
Quand la pompe s'arrete, un interrupteur
centrifuge se trouvant sur I'arbre de la
