3. Connect the test leads to the component to be measured and
read the result on the LCD display.
Notes:
Connect the red test lead to the anode of the diode (diode end
without ring mark) and the black test lead to the cathode of the
diode.
If a value of up to 3 V is displayed, the component is functional
in forward direction. The forward voltage is displayed. If the
overflow "i" indicator is displayed, the diode is defective.
Now turn the diode around (red + to the cathode and black - to
the anode). If the overflow "i" indicator is displayed, the diode
correctly blocks. It is functional in reverse direction. If the unit
displays any voltage, the diode is defective.

Resistance Measurement

Important!
Do not perform resistance measurements on voltage-
carrying components or circuits.
Never connect the test leads to the power source when
using the unit to carry out resistance measurements. This
may damage the device.
To avoid incorrect results, make sure that capacitors are
discharged before measurements are taken. This is because
resistance measurements are based on a comparison of a
reference voltage to a known reference resistance value.
1. Set the rotary switch (4) to the corresponding position required
for resistance measurement (200 Ω – 20 MΩ).
2. Connect the red test lead to the V/Ω/
test lead to the COM input (7).
3. Connect the test leads to the resistor you intent to test and
read the measuring result on the display.
