Taking Measurements
Notes:
When measuring resistances above 1 MΩ, it may take several
seconds until a stable measurement value is displayed.
When measuring small resistances in the 200 Ω range, the
accuracy of measurement may be adversely influenced by the
inherent resistance (0.2 ...1 Ω) of the test leads. To determine
the error before measurement, connect the test leads to the
input sockets of the unit and short-circuit the test leads. The
displayed value shows the inherent resistance of the test
leads. To obtain the correct result, this value must be deducted
from the displayed reading.
Ensure good electrical contact between probes and test
resistance during the resistance test. Dirt or other forms of
contamination on the test probes or leads of the resistor may
result in incorrect readings.
If the measured resistance value exceeds the selected range,
the overflow "i" indicator is displayed.
