If the measured current drops below 2 A (AC/DC), connect the
red test lead to the 2 A input (6) and set the rotary switch (4) to
a lower measuring range (AC/DC).

Continuity Test

This function enables you to check electrical circuits, cables or
components for continuity.
Important!
Do not perform continuity tests on voltage-carrying compo-
nents or circuits.
1. Make sure the component or circuit you intend to measure is
voltage free.
2. Now set the rotary switch (4) to the
leads (red to the V/Ω/
component or circuit.
3. An acoustic signal sounds if the resistance is lower than
approx. 30 Ω, confirming that the component or the circuit has
passed the continuity test.

Diode Test Function

This function enables you to test diodes and other semiconduc-
tors for continuity, blocking function or correct function.
Important!
When using the unit for diode testing, never connect the test
leads to a power source. This may damage the device.
Do not perform measurements on voltage-carrying compo-
nents or circuits and always make sure that capacitors are
fully discharged before performing the measurement.
