Replacing the Battery

The unit is powered by a 9 V block battery (6LR61). When the
battery power gets weaker, the battery symbol
the LCD display. This indicates that the battery should be re-
placed as soon as possible.
Changing the Battery
1. Turn off the unit and disconnect all test leads from the termi-
nals and sockets of the unit.
2. Loosen the three screws on the back
of the unit (see white circles on the
right-hand picture A). Lift off the rear
cover.
3. Detach the battery cable from them
spent battery and remove the battery
from the battery compartment.
4. Attach the battery cable to a fresh
battery and insert the new battery into
the battery compartment.
5. Replace the rear cover and tighten the
three screws. Please take care not to
jam any cable between cover and
housing.
CAUTION! Never operate the unit with an opened housing!
