5. Place the measuring tip to the circuitry or component to be tested.
Read the result from the LC-display (12).
Hints:
Connect the measuring tip (1) to the anode of the diode (end of
diode without ring marking) and the black probe to the cathode (end
of diode with marking).
If a value up to 1.5 V is displayed, the component is working
correctly in forward direction and the forward voltage is displayed. If
the overflow symbol "O.L" is indicated, the measured voltage inter-
rupted and the diode is defective.
Now turn the diode around, measuring tip of the meter (plus) to the
cathode and the mass lead (minus) to the anode. If the overflow
symbol "O.L" is indicated now, the diode blocks, which means it is
working correctly in this direction. If a voltage value is displayed, the
diode does not work correctly.

4.4 Continuity Test

With this function you can check circuitry, cables or components for
continuity.
Please note!
Never perform continuity tests on voltage-carrying components or
circuitry.
Measuring Steps:
1. Make sure the component or circuit you intend to measure is
voltage-free.
2. Turn the measuring tip (1) out of the unit by turning the moving
spindle (2) counter clockwise.
3. Connect the black measuring probe with measuring tip or with
Crocodile clip to the COM-Input (13).
4. Turn the rotary function switch (5) to the resistance measuring
mode "Ω;
