Eliminating minor faults yourself
Before you call customer service:
•
Please check whether you can eliminate the fault yourself based on the following
information. Customer service will charge you for advice, even if the appliance is still
under guarantee!
Fault
Appliance is vibrating or
resonating.
Interior light is not on,
the refrigerating unit is
running.
The floor of the re
frigerator compartment
is wet.
Possible cause
Appliance is not vertical.
Appliance is striking another
unit or appliance.
The door was open for a
long time, the overheating
protection system for the in
terior light is active.
The halogen bulb of the in
terior light is defective.
The light switch is jamming
(Fig. 7/B).
The condensation outlet
pipe (Fig. 6) is blocked.
Remedial action
•
Check the appliance with a spirit level.
•
Align the appliance with the height ad
justable feet.
•
Move the appliance away from other
units or appliances.
•
Close the door. The light will come on
again after 30 minutes.
Change the halogen bulb:
•
Pull out the mains plug or switch off the
fuse.
•
Pull out the halogen bulb (Fig. 7).
•
Insert a new halogen bulb.
Do not touch a new halogen bulb with
your fingers.
A replacement bulb (low voltage halo
gen bulb 12 V, 10 W, G4 bulb holder)
can be purchased from customer ser
vice, an electrical outlet or a DIY store.
Do not use a bulb which has
a different wattage!

Check whether it can be moved.
If not, call customer service.
•
Clean the condensation channel and
outlet pipe (see "Cleaning the ap
pliance").
