4. Carefully remove the heat exchanger from the unit (see Fig. 34).
Maintenance and cleaning
The rotary heat exchanger must be checked for dirt and damage every 6 months.
The following must be checked:
– Tension of the drive belt
– Bearing quality (assess bearing noises)
– Condition of housing
Cleaning procedure for the rotary heat exchanger
1. Set the nozzle of the cleaning device to a distance of approx. 300 mm to the heat exchanger.
2. Set the nozzle to a simple jet.
3. Clean the heat exchanger with a spraying angle of 30 degrees and a distance of 300 mm.
4. Clean entire rotary wheel. Turn the wheel to clean the parts behind the frame.
5. Allow the heat exchanger to dry completely in the air.
6. Spray the heat exchanger with cleaning agent.
7. Repeat steps 1-5 and completely remove the cleaning agent.
Allow the heat exchanger to dry before installation!

Danger to life due to electric shock!
The unit must be fully isolated from the mains power supply before all maintenance and cleaning work.
Risk of injury due to electric shock, moving parts (fan) and hot surfaces .
The filters must be checked for contamination, damage and odours every three months. If the filters are damp or moul-
dy, they must be replaced immediately.
The ventilation unit AIR1 RH is equipped with an ePM1 55 % class filter on the outdoor air side and an ePM10 50 %
class filter on the extract air side as standard. If another filter is to be used in the unit, the settings must be modified in
the commissioning assistant (wizard).
