Selecting Measuring Methods
Application of the method selection
You can define and store measuring methods in your DMA 35, providing a great
contribution to a more efficient organization of your measuring process, especially, if
you want to measure many different substances according to different measuring
units.
A stored measuring method may contain the following kinds of information:
•
Measuring unit
•
Offset value
•
Temperature coefficient
•
Number of the RFID tag
You can define and name up to 20 different measuring methods. To see how many of
the 20 storage places are still available, go to the menu "Device Information" (see
Chapter 11.3).
If you own several DMA 35 instruments, you can import the same method list to all
instruments.
9.2.1 Entering a New Method
1.
Select the preferred measuring parameter (see Chapter 9.1) and, if necessary,
the custom offset (see Chapter 12.4).
2.
Press <Menu> and select "Methods > Enter new Method".
3.
Enter the first character of the measuring method's name using the arrow keys
and press <OK>.
4.
Repeat this procedure for the other characters.
TIP
If you choose the tick symbol without first choosing the characters, the
method will be saved as <empty>. In this case, while being in the main
screen only an empty bar indicates that a method has been selected.
5.
Navigate to the tick symbol using the arrow keys and press <Save>.
TIP
If you keep an arrow key pressed, the cursor automatically stops at the tick
symbol.
