Safety instructions

All the safety instructions are available in the separate
manual "Important notes and safety instructions on
Bosch Diesel Test Equipment". These should be read
carefully before operating the Bosch tester and must be
adhered to. In addition, a warning notice is attached to
the testers for nozzle and holder assemblies to inform
the user not to reach into the test jet.

When testing nozzle and holder assemblies, the
extractor device 0 684 200 702 must be used.
Statutory regulations in many countries already
stipulate that this must be done (for example
in Germany Paragraph 14 of the Workplace
Regulations).
2.2 Application
The EFEP 60H and EFEP 67D (testers for test nozzle
and holder assemblies and engine nozzle and holder
assemblies, informally referred to as nozzle testers)
can be used to perform the following tests on injection
nozzles of sizes P, R, S and T with the appropriate
nozzle holders:

Opening pressure

Jet shape
R
Tightness of fitting
R
Assembly tightness
R
Chatter behavior

Tests with the EFEP 60H and EFEP 67D are not
performed to the ISO standard 8984. For tests to
the ISO standard 8984, the EPS 100 must be used.
