Flexible Suture Passer
DESCRIPTION
The EXPRESSEW III AutoCapture+ Flexible Suture Passer is a manual surgical
®
instrument designed to pass and capture Size #2 braided surgical sutures
or Mitek suture tape through tissue in arthroscopic surgery. The reusable
Flexible Suture Passer diameter is less than 7 mm, and is compatible with
EXPRESSEW III Suture needles. The retractable AutoCapture+ Retention Plate
provides the AutoCapture function. The Retention Plate and the Suture Needles
are disposable.
INDICATION FOR USE
The EXPRESSEW III AutoCapture+ Flexible Suture Passer is indicated for
passing suture through tissue in open or arthroscopic surgery.

CONTRAINDICATIONS

Do not use on bone or similar hard tissue.
SINGLE USE ONLY COMPONENTS
The EXPRESSEW III Suture Needle is for SINGLE USE ONLY. DO NOT
RESTERILIZE OR REUSE the Suture Needle. Reuse may cause the needle to
fatigue and break, which could cause patient injury. The suture needles have not
been designed to be reused/re-sterilized. Reprocessing may lead to changes
in material characteristics such as corrosion and dulled edges, which may
impact the strength of the device and compromise performance. Reprocessing
of single-use devices can also cause cross-contamination leading to patient
infection. These risks may potentially affect patient safety.
