The method for replacing the hand
guard can be found in the section on
„Maintenance and Cleaning - Replacing
the Hand Protection". Please send the
device to our Service Centre if the im-
pact protection (
• Keep the ventilation slots (
motor housing of the device clean. Use
a damp cloth or a brush to do this. Do
not wash down the equipment with wa-
ter, or submerge it in water.
Cleaning and servicing
the blade knife bar
Clean the cutter bar (2) carefully after each
use. After using the equipment, it is impera-
tive to:
- Clean the blade (with an oily cloth);
- Oil the blade shaft with an oil can or
spray.
Replacing the hand pro-
tection
Loosen the four screws on the hand guard
(3) with a screwdriver. Replace the dam-
aged hand guard (3). Fasten the new hand
guard (3) with the four screws.

Storage

• Clean the equipment before putting it
away.

tion ( 10) supplied, in a dry place
and out of reach of children.
Waste Disposal and En-
vironmental Protection
Be environmentally friendly. Return the
tool, accessories and packaging to a recy-
cling centre when you have finished with
them.
Electrical machines do not belong
in domestic waste.
Take the equipment to a waste disposal
site. The plastic and metal parts that are
used can be separated out into pure
grade, which allows recycling. Ask our
Service Centre for details.
Defective units returned to us will be dis-
posed of for free.
