6. Port Forwarding

The Conceptronic CADSLR4(B)+ is equipped with a build-in Firewall to prevent attacks
from the Internet on your network. This Firewall blocks automatically all incoming
traffic on unused ports. When a blocked port is needed for a service or application (for
example: a FTP Server or WEB Server) you can create a Port Forwarding Rule in the
Configuration Pages.
Note: When using Port Forwarding rules, it is advised to configure the computer(s)
with a Fixed IP Address instead of a Dynamic IP Address.
Note: For detailed information about the Port Forwarding & DMZ options, see the
User Manual (English only!) on the CD-ROM. Select "Open User Manual" from
the Autorun Menu.
1. Start your web browser (like: Internet Explorer, FireFox or Safari).
2. Enter the IP address of the CADSLR4(B)+ in the address bar of your web browser (By
default: http://192.168.1.1/).
The Login page of the CADSLR4(B)+ will be shown on your screen.
3. Enter the Username and Password and click "Login" to enter the configuration
pages.
4. Select the option "Advanced" on the Configuration Page.
5. Select the option "Port Forwarding" on the left menu of the Configuration Page.
