Turn the spool (5) clockwise until

the two arrow heads line up –
secure the spool in this position.
Insert the cap (6) in the spool (5),
N
press it down as far as stop and turn
it clockwise at the same time.
Turn the cap (6) as far as stop and
N
tighten it down by hand.

Assembling the mowing head

Fit the spring (1) in the mowing
N
head (2).
The other steps are described in the
instruction sheet provided.
Wind the mowing lines (3) on to the
N
spool (4).
Thread the ends of the mowing
N
lines (3) through the sleeves and
place the spool (4) in the head.

Slip the mowing head (2) over the
N
shaft (5) and engage hex recess (7)
on the external hexagon (6).
Fit the cap (8) on the mowing head
N
– screw it clockwise on to the shaft
as far as stop and tighten it down
firmly.
Keep the instruction sheet for the
mowing head in a safe place.
Adjusting Nylon Line

Hold the rotating mowing head

above the ground – tap it on the
ground once – about 3 cm fresh line
is advanced.
