I. BEFORE OPERATING
Carefully unpack the device, remove all packaging materials and stickers except the one
with the unit's serial number.
The absence of the serial number will deprive you of your warranty benefits.
Wipe all interior and exterior surfaces of the unit with a soft, damp cloth. Wash the bowl
in warm soapy water. Rinse and dry thoroughly. Odor on first use of the appliance is
normal. In such case, clean the device.
After transportation or storage at low temperatures allow the appliance to stay at
room temperature for at least 2 hours before using it.
II. OPERATION
Before Use
Place the device on a flat, stable, and hard surface away from any objects or cabinets
that could be damaged by steam, humidity, or high temperatures.
Before operating, make sure that the outer and inner parts of the multicooker have no
dents, cracks or any other visible damages. There should not be any obstructions between
the heating element and the bowl.
Setting the Clock
1. Plug in the unit. Press and hold down "Отложенный старт" button until the
minute indicator starts blinking.
2. Press "Время приготовления" button repeatedly to set the minutes (setting
interval is 1 minute). Hold the button down to scroll through the digits.
3. Press "Установка времени" button, hour indicator starts blinking. Set hours using the
"Время приготовления" button. Hold the button down to scroll through the digits.
4. When you finish entering the data press "Подогрев/Отмена" button or do
nothing for a few seconds to save your settings. Time indicator stops blinking.
Setting the Cooking Time
Multicooker REDMOND RMC-M70 allows manually adjusting the cooking time, set by
default for each programme. Setting interval and time adjustment range depend on the
programme chosen.
1. Press "Установка времени" button, minute indicator starts blinking. Press "Время
приготовления" button repeatedly to adjust the minutes. Hold the button down
to scroll through the digits.
2. Press "Установка времени" button, hour indicator starts blinking. Press "Время
приготовления" button repeatedly to adjust the hours. Hold the button down
to scroll through the digits.
3. If you need to set the time of less than one hour press and hold down the
"Время приготовления" button until the hour indicator is no longer displayed.
Press "Время приготовления" button repeatedly to set the minutes.
4. To cancel the settings and reset press "Подогрев/Отмена".
For your convenience, the time adjustment range in all programmes starts with the mini-
mum setting, enabling you to prolong the cooking time if the dish comes out undercooked.
This is a non-volatile memory unit. In case of a short term power cut-off all settings,
including Preset function, will be saved.
"Отложенный старт" ("Time Delay") Function
Time delay function allows programmeming the cooking programme to be over by
certain time. The programme can be delayed for a period of time from 10 minutes to
24 hours with 10 minute intervals. To set the Timer:
1. Select an automatic programme. Adjust the cooking time set by default if neces-
sary.
2. Press "Отложенный старт" button to select ТАЙМЕР 1 (TIMER 1) or ТАЙМЕР 2
(TIMER 2).
3. Press "Установка времени" button to enter the hour setting mode. Hour indica-
tor starts blinking.
4. Adjust the hours using the "Время приготовления" button (setting interval is
1 hour).
5. Press "Установка времени" button. Minute indicator starts blinking.
6. Adjust the minutes using the "Время приготовления" button (setting interval
is 10 minutes).
7. When all settings are entered press "Старт" button. "Старт", "Подогрев/Отмена"
and "Отложенный старт" button indicators light up. The time by which your
meal will be ready is displayed.
Setting the Preset function remember that the countdown in some programmes
begins only when the device reaches its operating temperature.
"Автоподогрев" ("Keep warm") Function
Keep warm function is being activated automatically upon the end of the cooking
programme. It allows maintaining the temperature of 70-75°C for a period of time up
to 24 hours. "Подогрев/Отмена" button indicator lights up and the Keep warm count
up is displayed. Press "Подогрев/Отмена" button to disable the function. Button indica-
tor goes off.
The "Keep warm" function is available in the "МУЛЬТИПОВАР" programme if tem-
perature is 80 to 160°С.
Preliminary disabling the "Автоподогрев" ("Keep Warm") function
If necessary it is possible to preliminary disable the Keep Warm function in the REDMOND
RMC-M70 multicooker. To do so immediately after the start or during programme op-
eration press and hold "t°С / Автоподогрев Вкл/Выкл" button ("Подогрев/Отмена"
button indicator will go out). Repressing "t°С / Автоподогрев Вкл/Выкл" button will
enable Keep Warm again ("Подогрев/Отмена" button indicator will light up). This
function is also available during Time delay function operation.
Reheat Function
The REDMOND RMC-M70 multicooker can be used for reheating cold meal. Fill the bowl
with ingredients and place it inside the device. Close the lid and plug in the unit. Press
and hold down "Подогрев/Отмена" button until an audible sound is produced. Corre-
sponding indicator lights up and reheating process starts. The meal will be warmed up
to 70-75°C and the temperature will be maintained for up to 24 hours. To cancel the
function press "Подогрев/Отмена". Button indicator goes off.
Standard Operating Procedure for Automatic Programmes
1. Measure the ingredients according to the recipe.
2. Fill the bowl with ingredients. Make sure that all ingredients including liquid
are below the scale mark indicating maximum capacity. Place the bowl inside
the device fitting it tightly with the heating element.
3. Close the lid until it clicks into place. Plug in the unit.
4. Press "Меню" button repeatedly to select the cooking programme (correspond-
ing indicator lights up).
5. Select the corresponding subprogramme using the "Вид продукта" (for
"ТУШЕНИЕ", "ПАР", and "ЖАРКА") or "Варка" button (for "ВАРКА"). Each subpro-
gramme features its own default time which is being displayed.
6. Adjust the time set by default if necessary.
7. Set Preset function if necessary. Preset function is not available in "ЖАРКА" and
"ПАСТА" programmes.
8. Press "Старт" to activate the programme selected. "Старт" and "Подогрев/Отмена"
button indicators lights up. Set programme starts running and the countdown
begins.
9. When cooking time expires the device makes an audible sound and automati-
cally switches to Keep warm ("Подогрев/Отмена" button indicator lights up).
10. To interrupt or to cancel the programme or to disable the Keep warm function
press "Подогрев/Отмена".
"ПАР" programme countdown begins only when the water comes to a full boil provid-
ing enough steam; "МУЛЬТИПОВАР" and "ЖАРКА" countdown begins when the device
reaches its operating temperature; "ПАСТА" — when the water comes to a full boil,
ingredients are added, and "Старт" button is being repressed.
The appliance saves the recent adjusted cooking time in the programme and displays
it. To return to the default settings press and hold down "Установка времени" button
before programme selection until an audible signal is heard (for about 3 seconds).
