Operation

Check that the camera is properly installed and the
camera head and the camera control unit are properly
connected.
For details, see "Installation" (page 29) and
"Connections" (page 30).

Preparations

Setting the Date and Time

The shooting date and time are recorded automatically
using the built-in clock in the camera. Set the clock to
ensure the correct date and time are recorded.

Switch the a/? (main power) switch on the rear of
the camera control unit to ON.
The ?/1 (on/standby) indicator on the top panel of
the camera control unit lights in orange.

Press the ?/1 (on/standby) switch.
The ?/1 (on/standby) indicator lights in green and
the LCD monitor turns on. Confirm that the live
picture is displayed on the monitor.

Press the MENU button.
The MAIN MENU appears.

Move the cursor to SYSTEM SET UP with the V or
v button, then press the ENTER button.
The SYSTEM SET UP window appears.

Move the cursor to DATE & TIME with the V or v
button, then press the ENTER button.
The DATE & TIME window appears.

Select SET TIME with the V or v button, then press
the ENTER button.
You can now set the year.

Set the year using the V or v button, then press the
b button.
The month can now be set.

Set the month, day, hour and minute in the same
manner as described in step 7.
To correct the entered value, move the cursor to the
item to be corrected with the B or b button and reset
the value with the V or v button.

Press the ENTER button after completing the
setting.
The date and time are set and the window returns to
that in step 5.
