Connecting to a Computer

When you connect the camera to the IEEE1394 interface
board on a computer, you can control the camera from
the computer. Refer also to the supplied User's Guide for
TWAIN Driver Software.

Note
Be sure to turn on the power of the camera control unit
(the ?/1 indicator on the top panel of the camera control
unit lights in green) before connecting the camera to the
computer with the IEEE1394 cable.

Notes
• When connecting a flash for synchronizing with a
flash, set FLASH MODE in the CAMERA SET UP
menu to EXT: OUTPUT (page 19).
• Turn on the power of the camera before you begin
charging a flash.
Each time you turn on/off the power of the camera, a
flash lights. This is not a malfunction of the camera.
