Side Brooms
The side broom(s) sweep dirt from the edges of floors and from corners, and direct it to the center of the sweeper where it can be picked up by the main broom.
Adjusting the Side Broom(s)
Check that the shapes of the patterns left by the side broom(s) are as shown in fig. 3. As the bristles of the side broom(s) wear down, adjust the height of the
broom(s) from the floor to maintain these patterns. Proceed as follows to adjust the side broom(s):

Loosen bolt 1, fig. 4 and slide it down its as required to obtain the proper broom pattern. The position of bolt 1 determines the height to which the side
broom(s) are lowered.

Run the broom(s) and check that the traces they leave are as shown in fig. 3.

Replacing the Side Broom

Remove the three bolts 2, fig. 4 which hold the broom to the hub, and remove the old broom.

Install a new broom and adjust for height.
