S
ood has been designed and built according to the main characteristics of steam baths
M
based on the Scandinavian tradition. Of these, one of the most important is the microcli-
mate that is created inside the sauna room as a result of the exchange between the fresh air
(which enters through openings located below the heater) and the air present inside the sau-
na (which rises towards the ceiling when heated): therefore make sure to maintain this
circulation by opening the small window in the wall located below the bench. Also
make sure that the opening located at the bottom below the heater is free from all
obstructions.
The internal temperature varies depending on the exact location in the sauna; the tem-
perature is higher towards the ceiling, whereas the temperatures become considerably lower
towards the floor (see the figure, the indicated temperatures are only approximate).
Pay attention to the fact that the temperature and humidity values displayed on the ther-
mometer and the hygrometer (installed inside the sauna) can be different than those shown
on the control panel display, as the latter displays the data measured by the sensors, located
in different positions.
Therefore we recommend adjusting the temperature and/or degree of humidity
based on your needs and how you feel, and to consider the values displayed by the
instruments as an approximation.
ATTENTION! Before turning on the heater, always make sure that no objects
were left on top of it.
the heater must be turned on before starting the sauna; this "pre-heating time" de-
pends on the room temperature: a higher room temperature requires a shorter period nec-
essary for heating the sauna to the desired temperature.
When switching on the heater for the first time, you may note that the heat emits res-
idue, resulting from the manufacture of the heater itself: you must simply ventilate the area
before using the sauna.
When using the Finnish sauna for the first few times, you may note the presence of condensa-
tion on the inner sides of glass: this is caused by wood humidity and will disappear with use.
In the case of a bio sauna, check that there is a sufficient amount of water in the
steamer
tank; if it requires filling, fill it up, leaving 10 cm from its opening.
O
If an automatic water filling tank (S) is installed, instead of checking the steamer water
level, check that the water supply system and/or the tap (R) are open.
~10 cm
Do not pour the essences or essential oils directly into the steamer water; use
the container incorporated in the steamer cover.
If the steamer has not been used for a long period of time, we recommend emptying it.
Check that the stones placed on the heater are intact and positioned so the air can cir-
culate freely inside; if one is broken, replace it (refer to the "Routine maintenance" chapter).
