10 Maintenance, Cleaning
10.1 Safety instructions
DANGER!
Risk of injury from high pressure in the equipment!
• Before loosening pneumatic lines and valves, turn off the pressure and vent the lines.
WARNING!
Danger due to improper maintenance work!

Improper maintenance may result in injuries as well as damage to the device and the
surrounding area.
•
Maintenance may be performed by authorized technicians only.
•
To screw in or unscrew the valve housing or actuator, use an open-end wrench,
never a pipe wrench, and observe tightening torques.
10.2 Maintenance Work
10.2.1 Actuator:
The actuator of the angle seat valve is maintenance-free.
10.2.2 Wearing parts of the angle seat valve:
Parts which are subject to natural wear:

Disk
•
Graphite seal
If leaks occur, replace the particular wearing part with an appropriate spare part (see Chapter 13
"Spare parts").
10.2.3 Cleaning
Commercially available cleaning agents can be used to clean the outside.
NOTE!
Avoid causing damage with cleaning agents.
• Before cleaning, check that the cleaning agents are compatible with the housing
materials and seals.
