Air bubbles appearing
in the gravity cup

Loose air cap
Gap between air cap
and fluid tip ("air cir-
cuit") is clogged
Nozzle set is clogged
or damaged
Not enough paint ma-
terial in the suction cup
Defective paint needle
seal
Clogged air cap drill-
ings
Damaged fluid tip (fluid
tip aperture)
Air distribution ring has
not been positioned in
correct location (pin is
not located in the drill-
ing) or damaged
Control has been
turned too much in
counterclockwise di-
rection; spindle has
loosend inside the
spray gun thread
Clogged air piston seat
or worn air piston.
Corrective Action
Tighten air cap [2-2]
by hand
Clean air circuit, ob-
serve chapter 8
Clean the nozzle set,
chapter 8, or replace,
chapter 9.1
Refill suction cup [2-8]
Replace the paint nee-
dle seal, chapter 9.3
Clean air cap, observe
chapter 8
Check if fluid tip is
damaged, replace the
nozzle set, if neces-
sary, chapter 9.1
Replace air distribution
ring making sure it has
been positioned cor-
rectly when inserting it,
chapter 9.2
Remove control with
universal spanner;
rectify or replace com-
pletely, chapter 9.6
Clean air piston seat
and/or replace air pis-
ton, air piston packing,
chapter 9.4
