Using the product

Avoid tissue contact with the uninsulated scissor tips outside
the coagulation sites.
Do not use excessive force on the instrument.
To get the best result, make the incision slowly. The slower the
incision, the larger will be the coagulation zone at the edge of
the incision.
Do not separate or touch any clamps or clips.
During the operation, keep the contact surfaces of the BiSect
clean. Dried-on tissue residues can be removed with a damp
swab.

Precleaning the product in the procedure room

1. Use a soft cloth (such as a compress) to remove any obvious
contamination immediately after use and/or place the prod-
uct in deionized water.
2. Disconnect the connecting cable from the product.
3. During transportation to the CSSD, place the protector over
the closed instrument (see illustration on page 22).

6.1

Safety instructions

Erbe Elektromedizin recommends machine cleaning/
disinfection. Because it is much less effective, manual cleaning
is not recommended.
May be cleaned in an ultrasonic bath.
On no account use sharp or abrasive objects for cleaning purpos-
es.
