Shielded twisted wire pairs are recommended for a reliable data transfer. A comprehensive
shield concept that functions faultlessly is required for interference-free data transfer. Special
attention must be paid to grounding of the cable shield to the switching cabinet and the DME
3000. The cable shield of the ready made cable is connected with the metal plug and
consequently with the DME housing. The complete cable shield on the switching cabinet must
be connected with the system ground. Potential compensating current via the cable shield is
prevented by a suitable ground cable.

TIME Operating hours display
INT. STATUS Interface status: status display of the interface line
ERR. STATUS Error status: device error status
SER NO. Serial number of the device
RESET Reset all of the parameters to the default status
