PLEASE NOTE:
In an emergency, should the power swivel fail to
operate, a manual 'emergency release switch'
can be activated. The release button is located
on the side of the seat, under the seat cushion
(Figure 11).
Emergency release button operation
To activate the emergency override, push and
hold down, the black square button. At the
same time, twist the seat to the desired and
safe position.
IMPORTANT NOTE:
The seat position will lock and secure when you
release the black square button. Return the seat
to the start and normal position before resuming
normal use.
Operating your Handicare stairlift
SAFETY PRECAUTIONS
NEVER
Swivel the seat without the safety belt fastened.
NEVER
Mount or dismount the swivel seat unless it is
locked in position.
NEVER
Try to operate the swivel seat whilst the stairlift is
in motion. (As a safety precaution, should you try
to use it whilst the lift is in motion, it will cause
the lift to stop).
NEVER
Attempt to travel up or down the staircase unless
the seat is in the correct position (i.e. facing
directly across the staircase).
