1. PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
1-1. Introduction
Dear customer, with the Dual-Trace Oscilloscope 630-2 you bought a high performance product containing
the latest technical standards. The bandwidth reaches up to 30 MHz. You´ll find a CH-1-OUTPUT and exter-
nal blanking input in the backside of the scope. The other features read as follows.
The product was made according to the DIN VDE 0411/Part 1 same as EN 61010-1 or IEC 61010-1. Fur-
thermore the scope is EMC-approved according to the directive 89/336/EEC (with EN 55011, Class B and
the EN 50082 -1- from 1997). The DOC is archived at Conrad Electronics. For a safe and proper use read
these instructions carefully, also the safety instructions.

1-1-1. Intended use
- measuring of AC- and DC-Signals upto 30 MHz with a maximum input voltage of 400 VDC or VAC peak
- the measuring voltage must be galvanic-seperated from the 230-V-AC supply.
- Avoid measuring under adverse environmental conditions. These are:
- Excessively high atmospheric humidity (over 80%)
- any kind of moisture and humidity
- Dust and flammable gases, vapours or solvents and petroleum spirits
- Excessively high temperature (max. + 50°C)
- Strong electromagnetic fields (motors, transformers, etc.)

3. Wartung und Pflege
Beachten Sie in Bezug auf Wartung oder Reparatur unbedingt die unter 1.2 angegebenen Sicherheitsbe-
stimmungen. Bei einer Verschmutzung der Gehäuseoberfläche nehmen Sie einen fusselfreien Lappen mit
einem schwachen Reinigungsmittel (PH – neutral). Anschließend reiben Sie mit einem trockenen Tuch nach.
Achtung !
Nehmen Sie zur Reinigung des Gehäuses niemals hydrocarbonhaltige Lösungsmittel wie
Benzine oder Verdünner zur Hand. Erstens sind die Dämpfe giftig, zweitens besteht die
Gefahr einer Explosion durch Funkenschlag und drittens wird die Oberfläche des Oszil-
loskops beschädigt.
Bevor Sie das Meßgerät wieder einschalten, muß es trocken sein.
