GB - Instruction leaflet - Portable Toilet
1. INTRODUCTION
Your Campingaz ® Portable Toilet provides simple operation and convenient disposal of waste. Before using your portable toilet, we recommend
that you read this manual completely. Become familiar with the Campingaz ® Portable Toilet and its component parts.
2. CAUTION (FIG. 1, FIG. 3)
DO NOT add sanitary liquid for waste water tank to top fresh water tank.
AVOID adding sanitary liquid for waste water tank through bowl.
Rinse off any spilled or splashed deodorant immediately.
Atmospheric pressure and temperature changes may cause pressure build-up in waste water tank.
Caution should be used when first opening slide valve.
When the bottom tank has contents inside, we recommend carrying the assembled toilet via holding on to the handles (h) on the
bottom tank rather than the top tank. Carrying the assembled toilet via only holding on to the top tank when the bottom tank has
contents inside might damage the connection system.
In rare cases, leakage might occur under very extreme weather conditions (below 0°C or above 60°C).
COLD WEATHER / WINTER WEATHER
USE: when using the Campingaz ® Portable Toilet in freezing weather, the addition of permanent-type antifreeze will provide safe winter protection.
Storage: To store your portable toilet over the winter:
1. Empty the top tank and bottom tank.
2. Make sure all water is cleared from the flush pump (a) by pressing it several times until there is no water in the bowl.
Note: a small quantity of water may remain in the upper tank without causing damage during winter storage.
CAUTION:
DO NOT use alcohol or alcohol-based antifreeze.
IMPORTANT REMINDERS
Always read warnings and precautions on sanitary product packages. Keep these products out of reach of children. Do not mix
different types or brands of chemicals.
Do not use chlorine or caustic chemicals, such as laundry bleach or drain openers in the system. These products will cause
extensive damage to toilet seals and plumbing system components.
Always instruct guests in proper operation of your toilet system and caution against disposal of foreign objects.
Use only mild cleaners or detergents for cleaning your toilet. Strong components may contain ingredients that would damage plastic or rubber parts.
3. PREPARING FOR USE (FIG. 1, FIG. 3)
Use and operation of the Campingaz ® Portable Toilet may vary depending on your particular application and preference. If any questions arise
about proper use or maintenance, please contact your dealer or Campingaz ® Consumer Service for assistance. Following are the recommended
procedures for use and maximum operating efficiency.
1. Set the Portable Toilet on its front side so cap (i) on the waste water (bottom) tank is in vertical. Remove cap (i) and add sanitary liquid,
following dosage instructions. Replace cap (i) firmly.
2. Set toilet in upright position and remove cap (b) located on right rear side of fresh water tank. Fill with fresh water up to just below the neck
of the fresh water fill.
4. OPERATION (FIG. 1)
1. Actuate the pump (a) (up/down) to add water to the bowl. Use the pump with calm, regular strokes. Excessive pumping might damage the
pump or water might be spilled.
2. After use, pull the slide valve (c) handle out and rotate it counter-clockwise.
3. Depress the pump (a) one or more times to rinse bowl.
4. Close the slide valve (c) by pulling its handle out and rotating clockwise to block it once more.
5. EMPTYING TANK (FIG. 2, FIG. 3)
The capacity of waste water tanks of Campingaz ® chemical toilets is listed in the "Specifications" section. However, the full tank will be difficult
to carry and empty due to the weight. It is suggested that the waste tank be emptied before is completely full.
1. Make sure the slide valve is properly closed. To separate the tanks, pull out the spring latch (d). Lift the top tank slightly and pull it towards
the back of the toilet to release the front latches (f). Once the latches are released, lift the top tank.
2. Grasp the moulded handles (h) or handle (j) to carry the waste water tank to the designated draining place. Please check your local laws for
correct disposal of the waste water.
3. Remove cap (i) while holding the tank vertical.
4. To avoid inconvenient splashing, drain the waste tank contents slowly.
5. Add fresh water, replace cap (i) and shake tank to rinse.
6. Remove cap (i) and empty the rinse water. Replace cap firmly.
7. To reinstall the fresh water tank on the waste water tank, insert the front latches (f) to the slots (g) correspondingly, then press the fresh water tank into position.
8. For subsequent use, repeat steps 1 and 2 in the section "Preparing for Use".
6. MAINTENANCE (FIG. 4)
Lubricate slide valve seals periodically with silicone spray or paste lubricant. The slide valve may be removed for cleaning or inspection by
simply unscrewing counter-clockwise, as shown below.
Clean exterior of toilet with a mild, non-abrasive bathroom cleaner.
7. SLIDE VALVE REMOVAL (FIG. 4)
1. Remove screw (l) to disassemble the handle (k).
2. Remove screw (m) on the slide valve.
3. Insert a screwdriver or similar tool between the valve body and waste water tank.
4. Gently raise the valve (n); rotate it anticlockwise to loosen it and then remove it.
