Malfunction
Air bubbles appearing
in the gravity flow cup
Spray pattern is too
small, crooked, lop-sid-

Loose air cap
Gap between air cap

tip aperture)
Air distribution ring has
not positioned in cor-
rect location (pin is not
located in the drilling)

Control has been
turned too much in
counterclockwise di-
rection; spindle has
loosend inside the
spray gun thread
Corrective action
Tighten air cap [2-2]
by hand
Clean air circuit, ob-
serve chapter 8
Clean nozzle set,
chapter 8, or replace,
respectively, chapter
9.1
Refill gravity flow cup
[1-6]
Replace the paint nee-
dle sealing, chapter
9.3
Clean air cap, observe
chapter 8
Check if fluid tip is
damaged, replace the
nozzle set, if neces-
sary, chapter 9.1
Replace air distribution
ring making sure it has
been positioned cor-
rectly when inserting it,
chapter 9.2
Remove control with
universal spanner;
rectify or replace com-
pletely, chapter 9.6
