Examples for the camera viewfinder display:
Flash symbol flashes
Command to switch on or use the flash unit.

Most Nikon cameras support i-TTL flash
mode.
Before shooting, the flash unit fires a series
of barely visible measuring preflashes.
The camera evaluates the reflected preflash
light. Depending on the result of the evalua-
tion, the subsequent flash exposure is adap-
ted by the camera to suit the given shot
situation (see camera operating instructions
for further details).
