ASSEMBLY OF THE COLLECTING RAKES KIT (ONLY FOR BRAVA
MODEL):
Proceed as described below to assembly the collecting
rakes kit:
- Procure the tools required: hammer and pin-driver/
punch. (See fi g.40)
- Punch the areas marked by the dotted lines (See 1-2-3
fi g.40)
- Having made the holes, fi x the components in place with
the relative nuts and bolts. (Vedi fi g.41). Pay attention to fi x
the bolts with their heads placed internally.
To adjust the height:
- Remove the stop pin (A fi g.41) from the tooth.
- Choose desired height by pulling the collector teeth up or
pushing them downwards.
- Replace the pin in the hole on the tooth nearest the bonnet.
To mount the collecting rakes kit, the rear roller must
be placed in external position, so that it is necessary to
mount the mud scraper too. (B fi g.41).

4.16 IN WORK

Instructions for use in the fi eld
This section contains instructions about how to use the
machine for work in complete safety.
- Before actually using the machine, make sure that it oper-
ates correctly by allowing the rotor to idle for a few minutes.
- Always make sure that there are no bystanders within the
operating range of the machine whilst it is running.
- Disengage the PTO before lifting the machine. Do not
operate it when the machine is raised before getting off

the tractor.
- Comply with the safety distances when working near built-
up areas or roads (fi g.42): 5 meters each side, 10 meters
at the rear.

4.17 HOW TO WORK

Use in the fi eld
Hitch the machine to the tractor correctly and proceed in
the following way;
- Using the power lift controls, lower the machine until the
rear roller rests on the ground and the tools are near to
the ground without touching it.
- Engage the PTO and gradually accelerate the tractor en-
gine until the PTO is spinning at the required speed (540
or 1000 rpm).
It is highly inadvisable to exceed this rate as the ma-
chine has been sized to provide its utmost effi ciency
at these speeds.
- Engage the gear and begin to work.
- Adjust the work height with the power lift controls if neces-
sary. Remember that the cutting tools (knives or hammers)
must not touch the ground
- Modify the speed of the tractor if necessary (see table of
recommended speeds).
- Adjust the position of the roller to raise or lower the cutting
height from the ground (min. height 3 cm).
