4.12 SHIFTING

The machine is equipped with mechanical or hydraulic side
shifting of the three-point hitch support.
Shifting is utilized in case work is done near ditches or near
crops which require lateral shifting of the machine.
4.12.1 MECHANICAL SHIFTING (MOD.BRAVA)
Mechanical (or manual) shifting is to be carried out when the
machine is stopped, and detached from the tractor.
The procedure is the following:
- Remove the pin (1 Fig. fi g.28-fi g.29) from the retainer bar.
- Move the mounting frame of the three-point hitch to the
required work position.
- Place the bar in the required hole, then fi t the pin back in
place.
The machine can now be hitched to the tractor.
The bracket connecting the third point hitch (2 fi g.28-fi g.29)
can be placed in 2 different positions, according to the kind of
machine utilized.
In central position of the third point hitch (2 fi g.28), for BRAVA
mod.140; In external position of the third point hitch (2 fi g.29)
for BRAVA mod.160-180-200;
4.12.2 MECHANICAL SHIFTING (MOD.BRAVA LARGE)
Mechanical (or manual) shifting is to be carried out when the
machine is stopped, and detached from the tractor.
The bracket connecting the third point hitch is in external and
raised position to the third point hitch (2 fi g.31).
Also the bracket connecting the retainer bar (3 fi g.32)
will be fi xed by using the lower fi xing holes.
The procedure is the following:
- Remove the pin (1 fi g.31) from the retainer bar.
- Move the mounting frame of the three-point hitch to the
required work position.
- Place the bar in the required hole, then fi t the pin
back in place.The machine can now be hitched to the tractor.

4.12.3 HYDRAULIC SHIFTING

On the hydraulic shifting, the position of the bracket (2 fi g.30)
connecting the third point hitch is the same as the mechanical
shifting one. The hydraulic cylinder bracket (3 fi g.30) is
fi xed in the same way of the retainer bar one, but on the
right rib instead of the left one, which was utilized for the
mechanical shifting. (3 fi g.30)
Once the machine is hooked to the tractor, connect the supplied
hydraulic pipes to the suitable attachments on the hydraulic
circuit of tractor. By operating the special levers located in the
driverís position, lateral shifting can be carried out.
