Electronics can be destroyed if unit is connected incorrectly

Switch off power supply before installing or connecting the device. Failure to observe this
may result in destruction of parts of the electronics.

The 4-pin post connector is only designed for connecting the associated display. Connecting
other devices can destroy parts of the electronics.
Devices can be connected to the FOUNDATION Fieldbus™ in two ways:
• Connection via conventional cable gland (→ ä 41)
• Connection via fieldbus connector (optional, can be purchased as an accessory) (→ ä 42)

Connecting the cable to the field indicator

For wiring a field indicator, proceed as follows:

1. Open the cable entry.
2. Remove cover clamp.
3. Remove housing cover.
4. Remove display.
5. Remove screws from electronics unit.
6. Remove electronics unit.
7. Feed cables through cable entry.
