3.1 Calibrating
Controlling the E 98 Econometer by means of one single key only is simple and clear.
By "clicking" once, the menu point will change. Double-clicking will record or confirm a
measured quantity or a function. A cursorK will indicate the menu point selected.
The Econometer is switched on by actuating the key. Now, the E 98 will transfer the last
10 recordings via infra-red interface, fig. 1. This procedure will take approx. 5 sec (if
equipped with infra-red interface).
If the key is helt approx. 3 sec. while switching on, the Econometer E 98 will begin to
print the last 10 recordings, shown by fig. 2 (if equipped with infra-red interface)
During the following calibration-procedure (fig. 3), the probe may not be introduced into
the waste gas tube, because this might provoke mistakes.
After 60 sec. of calibration-time, the display will change into the menue
„fuel"..."confirm?" (fig. 4).
By pressing the control key once, the menu point will be changed and double-clicking
