5. Operation + maintenance
On the occasion of the semi-annual testing of the devices by authorized inspection
labs - required for all measuring devices used in the framework of "BlmSchV" - the
following items will be checked:
• O2 sensor with test gas, CO indicator with 300 ppm with real gas (reference channel
e.g. with A97).
• Waste gas and combustion air temperature. Carrying out a balance, calibrating
and adjusting will be performed at two measuring points each with one test nor-
mal, with one measuring point in the lower and the other in the upper section of the
entire measuring range.
• The draught and pressure measuring function will be checked by means of a
draught and pressure gage.
• The throughput of the flue gas required for the gas analysis will be checked at the
intake side of the probe by means of an appropriate suspended particle throughput
recorder (<20 l/h).
• The probe and the measuring device will be checked visually for contamination,
deposits, etc.
5.2 Sensors

parameters such as the care provided for the device (removal of condensate), the
frequency by which it is used (storage with waste gas) and regular maintenance. This
explains why the average life of measuring sensors will be determined by specific
experience recorded:
O -Sensor: appr. 1.5 years

CO-Indicator: > 5 years

labs (ask the inspection lab concerned for information in this respect). The other
sensors will have to be replaced at the factory.
In principle, any such and other maintenance work can be carried out on very short
notice at the factory: if you phone earlier, the exchange can be arranged within approx.
1 to 2 hours.
