3. Calibrating and measuring
3.3 CO-Measuring
If the "CO-MEAS" menu point is confirmed by double-clicking CO in the 3rd display
(fig. 8), the CO content in the diluted gas will appear in the display (fig. 11). If the CO
value is constant, you can terminate the measuring procedure by pressing the key.
The device will switch to the original state (display field 1, cfr. fig. 6 - B R E A K).
3.4 Printing (via infra-red interface)
To print out the actual measurement and calculation values on a HP thermal printer,
confirm the menue point „PRINT" in the 3rd display with a double click to activate the
printing (fig. 12). The HP thermal printer must be switched on and held or put in the
receipt area of the IR-interface. During the printing-process the Econometer E 98 cannot
be operated.
After printing, the device will switch into the original state (display field 1, cfr. fig. 6, -
B R E A K)
3.5 Dat->PC (via infra-red interface)
If the menu point Dat->PC is confirmed in the 3rd display (fig. 8), the actual measurement
will be stored as the first measurement and transmitted to the PC (duration: 2 sec.). The
oldest measurement will be canceled, so that permanently 10 measurements will stay in
the memory. After that the E 98 will switch to the original state.
3.6 Infra-Red -Mntr. (via infra-red interface)
If the menu point IR-Mntr is confirmed in the 3rd display (fig 8), the permanent datalogging
via infra-red interface will be activated. The actual function will appear in the 2nd display
as an i (fig. 7). Using the same procedure, you can stop the permanent datalogging. The
measured and calculated values can be received by the programs -Hyper Terminal
(Windows Standard) or DasyLab 5.0. After confirming the E 98 will switch to the original
state.
