11. Summary operating instructions

General key function:

1. step: Switching on and calibrating
The E 98 Econometer will be switched on by pressing the key controls. At the end of
the calibration period, the last fuel used will be displayed. It can be confirmed by
double-click "YES" or changed by double-clicking "NO".
2. step: Measuring
Only after 60 seconds of calibrating time, the probe may be adjusted and secured for
core current searching in the flue pipe. In the event of stable 0
values, the display will be frozen by double-clicking. The vertical "BREAK" report will
appear vertically inside the display field. By pressing the key, the display field will be
switched for the output of ETF; Con; Co; PD". If the key is pressed again, a selection
can be operated between the menu items "PD-MEAS" and "CO-MEAS".
3. step: PD-MEAS
In order to measure the pressure differential or the draught, you will confirm "PD-
MEAS" by double-clicking. Now the probe must be removed from the measuring
opening or the measuring hose must be withdrawn. You will confirm "zeroing press" by
pressing the key. Stable pressure values will be entered and stored by pressing the
key. To switch the menu, the pressure measured must be confirmed by double-
clicking.
4. step: CO-MEAS
If the CO content is o be measured, the menu item "CO-MEAS" will be selected (in the
same menu as step 3). The display field shows the actual CO value, not the Co
value. If the CO content is constant, you will terminate the measuring procedure by
pressing the key and confirm the CO content measured by double-clicking.
5. Step: Printing
To print out the measurement and calculation values on a thermo printer via the IR-
interface, choose the menue point „PRINT" (same menue as in step 3).
6. step: Switching off
Prior to switching of, the gas path needs to be rinsed adequately with fresh air. The
device will switch off if the key has been maintained pressed for approx. 3 seconds.
The time remaining will be displayed.
