4.1

Installation notes

4.1.1

Space requirements

The following requirements apply regarding installation of the device:
− distance of the system to the wall, at least 3 cm
It must also be ensured that the floor on which the support/table stands is subject to the least possible
vibration. Only operate the device on a hard, non-flammable surface.
The parameters described under Ambient conditions and Technical data must also be observed (section 6
and 7).
4.2

First-time set-up

Because of the complexity of the equipment and to ensure correct function, the Axio Observer will be
installed and set up for use on site by your ZEISS representative.
This includes the following:
− Installation of the microscope, assembly and adjustment of all components (where these are not
factory-adjusted)
− Connection of cables and power supply
− Training
Retrofitting and conversion possibilities for the microscope are described in the Axio Observer
operating manual 431004-7144-001.
