Defect motor bearings
Remedial action
Switch-off motor, dismantle pump head and remove
cause of blockage. A jammed motor requires repair
or exchange respectively
Retighten all terminal screws
Check fuses, replace as may be required
Call authorized service
Throttle discharge side of pump back to nominal
flow rate
Reset correctly in line with FLC-value as per motor
name plate
Reposition overload protection switch or protect by
thermal insulation
Check direction of rotation, correct if necessary
Slowly open discharge valve
Locate and repair air leaks, tighten flange bolts,
vent suction pipework
Raise inlet pressure, ensure minimum required inlet
pressure at suction port. Check and clean suction
side valve and strainer
Call authorized service to check and, if necessary,
to carry out repairs
