Moreover, the key provides access to the tools setting and diagnostic menus, see
picture 5. The beeper can be activated in the configuration menu and will deliver a tone every
time a measure is not properly performed. The internal process memory of the tool and its
cyclical storage capability can be activated and deactivated from there as well. Deactivating
the internal process memory will prevent the storage of any measure, while deactivating the
cyclical capability only will prevent further measurements to be stored when the memory is
full. This will be signalled to the user by an alternative red/green blinking of the LED loca-
ted at the tool's base. When the cyclical capability is active, the oldest measurement will be
automatically overwritten by the newest. If you change the memory configuration, this change
must be forwarded to the tool's memory by pushing the key. The diagnostic function
is described in detail in section 11.
Moreover, the diagnostic page can be accessed from the start screen via the
key. In case of problem, a diagnostic file will be generated and displayed using the «read
out». This file can then be stored by pressing the «save» key. This diagnostic file will deliver
precious information concerning the failure to the manufacturer.
