Registration

Note: To simplify using the telephone, familiarise yourself with Navigating in the menu. To do this, read Chapter 4 Navigation".

Register Handset The handset can be registered on up to four different base stations. Each handset can only be registered on one base station
at any particular time.
Select Base If the number is identified by a star, that number is already registered on a base station. Select the next free number in order
to register it on another base station. To switch to a base station on which it is already registered, select the required base
station and press the Paging button on the corresponding base station.

De-Register Handset

A handset can only be deregistered by another handset still registered. It is not possible to complete the deregistration using
the handset which is to be deregistered.

Registering other DECT-GAP telephones

Note: The internationally recognised GAP Standard enables SWITEL handsets and even those from other manufacturers to be registered on the base
station. In the same way, a SWITEL handset can be registered on base stations from other manufacturers as long as they comply with the GAP Standard.
In order to register a DECT-GAP handset from another manufacturer, follow the instructions in the operating manual provided by the original manufacturer
and then press the Paging button ‘ on your base station for 15 seconds (two acoustic acknowledgement signals are issued). Use the PIN to register
(default setting: 0000).
The handset is assigned an internal call number. The handset already registered has the internal call number 1. The second handset registered is assigned
the internal call number 2. The internal call number appears in the display.
