Install the sensor in the bypass fitting
Minimum flow
Do not allow the flow to fall below
–
the minimum flow rate. Monitor the
flow of the connected controller. If
the measured value of the flow is
used for control, switch off the
control if the minimum flow rate is
undershot or switch to the basic
load.
Only install the sensor in bypass
–
fittings of type DLG III A, DLG III B
or DGM (25 mm module) to guar‐
antee the necessary flow require‐
ments. Use appropriate measuring
methods to checked the measured
results before commissioning if
using other bypass fittings.
Avoid installations that allow air
–
bubbles to form in the sample
water.
Air bubbles, which adhere to
–
the diaphragm of the sensor,
can result in too low a meas‐
ured value and thus lead to
incorrect metering in a control
circuit.
Also observe the instructions and
safety information contained in the
operating instructions for the bypass fit‐
ting.
Installation instructions
Only push in or pull out the sensor
–
slowly to or from the bypass fitting.
Otherwise the diaphragm could be
damaged.
Do not allow the diaphragm to
–
come into contact with other
objects to prevent damage to and
contamination of the diaphragm.
Always keep the sensor moist
–
after commissioning, that is to say
never allow the bypass fitting to
run dry.
Push the O-ring provided in the
1.
mounting kit for the bypass fitting from
below over the sensor up to the clamp
disc.
Bypass fitting DLG III: Guide the sensor
2.
into the DLG III and tighten the threaded
plug.
Bypass fitting DGM: Leave the washer
3.
provided in the mounting kit in the DGM.
Insert the sensor into the DGM and
tighten the clamping screw until the O-
ring seals.
The correct insertion depth of the
ð
sensor is defined by the clamp disc.
When using a bypass fitting by another manu‐
facturer, also refer to the operating instructions
issued by the manufacturer of the bypass fit‐
ting.
