The DULCOTEST ® CDR 1 sensor for chlorine
dioxide (ClO ) is a diaphragm-covered two-

electrode sensor. The sensor consists of a dia‐
phragm cap and an electrode shaft. The elec‐
trolyte-filled diaphragm cap constitutes the
measuring chamber. A non-porous diaphragm
located in the diaphragm cap allows the
chlorine dioxide soluble in the water to per‐
meate through. The electrodes on the electrode
shaft are immersed in the measuring chamber.

Amplifier electronics are located above the
electrodes in the electrode shaft. The electrical
connector is positioned above this. The temper‐
ature sensor for temperature compensation is
integrated in the lower part of the electrode
shaft.
