Enter the required further fusion time and casting speed for your alloy and casting object (see chapter 2.4).
Turn the centrifuge arm so that rising, hot gases are not accumulated in the housing.
Casting ring support, crucible carriage as well as adjacent parts strongly heat up during melting with the open flame. Additionally, the
housing may heat up depending on the position of the centrifuge arm, the adjustment of the burner as well as the burning time of the
flame.
Do not touch parts that heat up during operation without suitable protection because of the risk of getting burned.
When heating up the unit for the first time, the centrifuge arm and housing insulation may produce bad smells. Discoloration of the
housing insulation is possible.
Due to the high starting speed the special melting crucible (slotted type) must not be used since a back draft can occur in front of the
discharge opening and therefore splashing of alloys can result. If required, readjust the height of the casting ring support with the height
adjustment at the centrifuge arm.
The carriage for the melting crucible features an automatic locking device so that the melting crucible does not press against the casting ring and
damage it.
For moving the carriage, lift the adjustment bar to release the locking device and move the carriage to the desired position. The adjustment lever is
designed so that it can be easily operated with casting ring tongs.
In order to avoid damage to the centrifuge arm, casting must only be carried out if the casting ring has been inserted and the
counterweight is adjusted correctly. In addition to that, make sure that there are no objects in the casting chamber when the casting
process is started.
By pressing the „Gießen" (cast) key
the clock for the further fusion time is started automatically. The expired time is indicated in the display. An
acoustic signal will inform the user about the end of the preselected further fusion time. The acoustic signal can be deactivated by pressing the "E"
key.
Place the preheated casting ring on the casting ring support. Lift the adjustment lever of the crucible carriage with the casting ring tongs and move
the melting crucible entirely against the casting ring. Ensure that the melting crucible projects exactly into the funnel of the casting ring.
Any differences in height can be adjusted by turning the height adjustment at the centrifuge arm.
Before starting the casting process, the melting crucible must be moved entirely against the casting ring. Otherwise the melting crucible
and the casting ring might be damaged when the casting process is started.
After the end of the further fusion time, close the housing in order to start the casting process.
The further fusion time can be reset by pressing the „NEW" key. Casting can be started by closing the housing independent of the expiration of the
further fusion time.
The operating sequence to start the casting process can also be changed, i.e. first close the housing and then start casting by pressing the
„Gießen" (cast) key
. In this case casting is started immediately after pressing the „Gießen" (cast) key
. The further fusion time will not run down.
End the casting process by pressing the „Gießen" (cast) key
again. The yellow indicator light goes out and the centrifuge arm is stopped. The
lock of the housing opens automatically immediately after the centrifuge arm stops.
In case the casting process is not switched off manually, the unit will automatically stop after 5 minutes.

Activating the clock
In order to print out date and time in the protocol of a connected documentation printer, the clock of the Multicast compact must be activated. It is
activated by inserting a battery into the control element. The battery ensures that the clock is still working after the unit has been switched off.
For this purpose switch off your Multicast compact. Loosen the two fixation screws
4
of the control element and carefully remove the control
element by pulling it upward. Insert a 1.5 V round cell (type AA) in the battery case of the control element. Observe the polarity indicated in the
battery case.
Reinsert the control element and fasten it with the two fixation screws
. Make sure that the connecting cable
5
is not wedged in when inserting
4
the control element.
Set date and time as described in chapter changing date and time. After the activation of a documentation printer (see chapter 2.9) the display
briefly shows the date and time when the unit is switched on.
